A message from Margie to all you spooky cooks out there!
"Hey everyone... at last year's Halloween party so many people brought extra food/snacks to share that the tables were overflowing with treats. We certainly want to encourage that to happen again. The swing dance community is the greatest when it comes to puttin' on a spread. In fact, a suggestion was made to make it even more fun... a contest to award the creepiest & most creative dish."
Judging Criteria: Most ghoulish presentation (looks count more than taste - no super cooks needed). Anything goes as long as its edible (and legal). Your entry will be judged by other party attendees (so get your friends to vote for yours).
Contest Entry Period: IMPORTANT - Your
enter the contest by 9:45pm *SHARP*
Yvette will number and photograph your entry when you arrive. The dancers
will vote for their favorite Ghoulish dish from the photos between 10:15 &
11:00pm. (no need to wait on eating everything!!) Winner will be
announced between 11pm and midnight - must be present to win.
NEED IDEAS? to get you started? Chocolate cake with bloody knife, coffin skull & crossbones, dried apple heads, cookie gravestones, severed witch fingers, plucked eyeballs, slithering snake bites, etc...
